How can I stop viewing a Twitter user's activity without blocking?
When you don't want to see the Tweet updates from certain users on your Twitter timeline but also would not like them to know about it, you can simply 'mute' those users and remove what you consider noise on your timeline. So, just by muting a profile, you’d be able to remove an account's Tweets from your timeline, without even unfollowing or blocking that account.
Muted accounts will not know that you’ve muted them and you can unmute them again anytime. However, muted users will still be able to view and retweet your Tweets and even send you a DM. Hence, muting an account won’t affect your mutual adherence with that user in any way.

How to Mute a user?
To Mute a user:
Select a profile or multi-select the range of profiles that you want to mute
Click on the User Action button.
Choose Mute option from the user actions
Now, select the profiles that you want to mute
To view and manage your list of muted accounts
To unmute a user:
- Log in to your account on twitter.com
- Go to your Settings (click on your profile icon and select Settings from the menu)
- Click on Muted accounts
- From the top of the list, you can select to view Accounts you follow that you have muted or All accounts that you have muted.
- You can unmute accounts by clicking the mute icon
